Show home design in the heart of Finlands largest Archipelago.

Sälgeskär Island is one of the many hundreds that line the Finnish coastline with the Baltic Sea. Located in the Eastern part of Finland, 170 kilometres east of Helsinki.

We were delighted to assist the developers of this unique project to create a calm and balancing traditional island aesthetic with a cool, contemporary feel. The raw materials had been selected by the architects and we worked on blending these into the space. With an open, flexible floor plan the property needed the living zones defined and the white washed walls and floors connected the spaces whilst contrasting with the striking darkness on the exterior of the building.

Daylight hours are limited during the winters here so the light walls help to reflect the light, while there is some.
